Alcohol, Personality and Emotions Study (APES)

Principal Investigators: Sarah Pedersen, PhD and Stephanie Stepp, PhD

Funding Source: NIAAA

Research has shown that there are important individual differences in how alcohol can affect people’s physiological arousal, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.  The APES study examines these differences by administering alcohol in the laboratory and measuring how people respond.  The APES Study is designed to examine the relationship between the acute effects of alcohol, personality, and emotions.
